A butcher, whose meat is supplied only from local small scale farmers, can be found within short walking distance from our two rural houses, next to a local traditional coffee shop.

Traditional coffee shops
There are a number of traditional coffee shops “kafenia” around the village where a variety of drinks and snacks are served. Most coffee shops can prepare breakfast and brunch too.

Restaurants
There are many options for traditional food at Lefkara village, most within walking distance from Ample Places. It is suggested that you make a booking ahead for weekends or Bank holidays.

Shops in the village
Lefkara village is considered to be one of the most important ones in Cyprus, mainly known for its fine embroidered lace (“lefkaritika”), its handcrafted silverware filigree work (“trifourena”), as well as for its architecture. According to legend, Leonardo da Vinci visited the village in 1481, and purchased and brought back to Italy a “lefkaritiko” fine embroidered lace cloth for the main altar of Milan’s Cathedral church (Duomo di Milano).

There is a great number of shops in the village selling locally made lace and silverware. At lower prices there are available reproductions of lower quality and cost, manufactured in Asia. We would recommend that you confirm the source of the goods, prior of purchasing them.
